i spent friday in lucea at chez liza.. catching up with her and jess. we spent the afternoon chatting away and the night found us stalking the world cup country teams. we headed to bed in the wee morning hours and so began the war against the vicious mosquitos which inhabit her house. somehow i managed to catch some sleep between the hours i spent fighting the good fight against the annoying and biting pests. morning found us still in debate about whether to head to negril for the warden’s meeting. hours later, still in debate and several texts and calls to various volunteers, jess and i opted to head out. we figured we could still watch the us vs england match. met some new volunteers, some kids from brian and yvonne’s basic school, one in particular by the name of mark, a precocious grade 4 student who loved to hug, make faces and ask a million random questions (mostly involving the topic of buying him french fries and carrying him to seaford town).
