all good things must come to an end

i present to you the seafood town all age school’s graduating class of 2010.

it is with much joy and pleasure i get to proudly boast that all of my grade six students passed the national gsat examination and all will be attending high schools this upcoming school year. what a year. it flew by rather unapologetically. it was my first teaching experience and i consider myself lucky enough to go through it with each and every one of them. the valedictorians’ speeches left me touched and as each and every one of my students came for a hug and a thank you my heart melted. i will miss their faces, laughter and shenanigans this next school term.

the graduation was great. they basically ran the entire program and did an outstanding job. they were eloquent and confident in themselves… something which i was very delighted for their families and friends to witness. it is with this attitude i hope they will go far in their lives and be able to fully realize their dreams and ambitions.

after the graduation ceremony there was a dinner for the graduates, the ushers, the teachers and the principal. it was a sort of ‘graduation banquet’ just for them. there was a sound system and some neighbors played selectors for the evening. the party went well into the night and everyone left with a big smile. that was the first graduation that i have ever enjoyed so much.
