it’s week two of summer school… i feel i’m running a bit ragged, but i did get to catch up on some rest this weekend. the heat hasn’t been so much of a help mixed with the stored up energy of the kids, who, for the majority, prefer to run around and chat instead of work. it’s summer so i can understand their desires to do nothing but play. spanish and french classes are coming along.. slowly but surely. we talked already about expanding the foreign language department for next term, along with the introduction of other extracurricular activities (to broaden our school and the student’s perspectives), and it was taken with great interest. so looks like next term will be filled with more work, but it’s very much worth it.
this weekend was filled with rain, rain and more rain… oh and football!
españa son los ganadores de la copa del mundo!!!!!
…ole ole ole ole ole ole…
bullet bullet bullet!!!
erika’s son, chevaughn, just arrived this weekend, on summer break from cuba… the whole family spent the evening in montego bay catching up. somehow the trip turned into an excuse to take me to the supermarket… we ended up at mega mart, me and asam roaming the aisles, trying to avoid him putting everything we passed into the cart… get the fridge fixed… and just have dancehall sing-a-longs in smiley’s bus. asam broke it down in the bus and bust some clark dance moves to show chevaughn how it’s done.
